Anti Ragging Cell

Objectives of Anti-Ragging Committee

1. Prevent Ragging Incidents: - Establish mechanisms and initiatives to prevent any form of ragging within the institute. This involves raising awareness about the negative impact of ragging and making students aware of the consequences.

2. Foster a Safe and Inclusive Environment: - Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and safety within the educational environment by ensuring the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of all students.

3. Promote Awareness: -Conduct seminars, workshops, and campaigns to inform students and staff about the harmful effects of ragging, along with relevant legal consequences and institutional policies.

4. Implementation of Anti-Ragging Guidelines: -Ensure strict adherence to the anti-ragging guidelines prescribed by statutory bodies such as the Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act XXXIII of 1999 and other applicable authorities. Develop and regularly update anti-ragging policies tailored to the institution.

5. Monitor and Supervise: -Actively monitor student activities on campus, especially during the early academic sessions, to prevent potential ragging incidents. Regularly review and address potential areas or situations where ragging may occur.

6. Disciplinary Action: -Investigate complaints of ragging thoroughly and recommend disciplinary action against those found guilty. Ensure that proper protocols are followed to maintain fairness and justice.
